Tales from the Badlands has a compilation of songs with a variation of RnB, hip hop, soul, Latin, and even funk arrangement. Liquid is an amazing song artist and his contemporary songs bridges the current generation of today to the Christian world. His songs are messages of hope and prayers that remind us that Christian songs don’t have to be the usual praise and worship and slow beat.

I definitely enjoyed this album from the first track to the last. Liquid brings a different surprise to every song. Although the variety may sometimes confuse the listeners but it also proves that the album is never boring. I was glued by this album especially the rap and hiphop beats. “Back in the Day” is a great starter of the album and makes you want to listen of what is more inside the album. “One time” has a Latin beat showing Liquid’s roots and where he is coming from. I also like the “When the Sun Goes Down” because it is actually a perfect song to end the album. Slow and soulful and the message is strong and deep.

This CD is definitely a must have and I recommend this album to everyone. You can listen to this album in any time of the day. The songs are easy to the ears and you won’t even expect that the songs are actually Christian music.
