Rojo is a gifted band and it is a good thing that they have shared their talent to the world through Christian music. This 2006 album release only have 1 hit song the “Vive en mi” but they also have radio success for “Creo”, “Prefiero”, “Brillare”, and “Gracias”. Rojo’s contemporary style with slow rock versions makes the group unique and interesting. And they also have amazing ballads that showcased their versatility when it comes to music. This album “Dia de indepencia” comes out as a surprise because their ballads are so beautiful that I hope to have one compilation with just one genre.
“Gracias” is my personal favorite that I actually listen to it a lot. The ballad arrangement was more focused on their vocals. “Le voy a Cristo” and “Prefiero” are great songs with an upbeat rhythm that makes the whole listening experience more fascinating. I wonder why “Tu Yo” did not make it to the hits because this one has a unique song arrangement which is very remarkable for a group that has been known for the slow rock genre.
Listening to Rojo’s tracks is never a boring experience. You will be surprised by how flexible they can become with their songs. This album is a highly recommended one.
