I already own an unlocked cellular phone....

I just wanted to say; muchisimas gracias for answering my question so promptly. In my situation, the cellular phone I plan to use while in Guatemala, is already unlocked, so I just need to buy a SIM card hopefully, compatible with my Nokia 6085 I own. Here in the States it works with either T-Mobile or AT&T SIM cards. Do you think I can find SIM card for this particular model...or should I go ahead, and forget about it, and just get a cheap cellular there? Please advise.

Thank you, I appreciate it!

Ben's Answer:

You can get a prepaid SIM card in Guatemala for Q150 or so - strangely enough, you can get a cheap phone for the same price or less and that includes a SIM. So my answer is that it's up to you. If you like your phone now, by all means, use it, or buy a cheap phone when you get here. You can always take the SIM out of the cheap phone and use it in the phone you already have, then if you change your mind, switch it back. Check the phone first (just ask the salesperson to do this) to make sure that you can remove the SIM - sometimes it's glued in or inaccessible.

Feliz viaje!
