Casa Azul

(Austin TX)

On our last trip, for the first part of our trip, we started out in another hotel, due to budget. It was SO bad, though, we checked out and were trying to find anywhere, even at a higher cost. The Casa Azul came to our rescue. It was a little more, but it included a lovely breakfast each morning.

Our room was lovely, and decorated in Guatemalan style. Each day, the housekeepers delighted us and our daughter with our towels made into animals, hearts, etc. on our beds.

They have a pool, but it was far too cold for us (in July!) We liked its location- just a couple of buildings off of the central plaza. The courtyard was lovely, not big enough for our little one to really play, but after (and to be honest, MUCH lower priced) place, it was heaven!

Haven't stayed at this one before, Kathi, but sounds wonderful...and close to the action. Thanks for posting.
